Harbor Hills

Worth the driveWish I'd known: This is a par 73 course. The back nine is quite hilly with some long walks between holes, which can be tiring. The course is generally well-maintained, but watch out for some poa grass on the greens. Hole 10 is challenging off the tee with a hazard on the left; definitely scout it during practice. Water stations are only at holes 1 and 10, so come prepared with your own water, especially in the heat. You can grab food at the grill window in the clubhouse basement if your junior passes it at the turn. GPS is allowed, but without slope. Before you arrive factor in extra time for day 1 registration if you're playing an FJT event. If you want a spectator cart, get there early as they run out quickly. The driving range is by the tennis courts; plan for 45-60 minutes there, focusing on the putting green. This is a fairly rural area, so plan for a 15-20 minute drive to get to gas, groceries, or fast food. Eustis is a good base with good dinner options. If flying in, SRQ is the airport, but be aware that Hertz Gold pickup can be slow there.
